Altania Ishiku FFXIV

Altania was born in Doma though at a young age she was taken to live with her mother’s people upon the Steppe. Her time spent on the Steppe was a mixture of anger, loneliness, and acceptance. She was not the strongest of Xaela, and her affinity for reading and studying made her an outcast amongst the others of her age. Preferring mostly her own company, she learned the skills required of any Xaela, hunting, trapping, and the plethora of general survival techniques one needs out in the wilds.
By the time Altania reached adulthood, she was ready to find her family who she had heard tried escaping the Garleans to cross to Eorzea. Altania arrived in Limsa Lominsa nearly penniless, surviving on her wilderness skills and odd jobs until she met an Arcanist who changed her life. She joined the guild that same day.
Studying came naturally to her as she quickly learned what it was to be an Arcanist, and she fell in love with magicks of all types, absorbing all that she could like a sponge. To better fit in with the Eorzeans she also practiced the common tongue fastidiously, removing all traces of her eastern accent. As her skill improved it was time to put what she had learned to good use by joining the adventurers guild.
During her adventuring, she made several friends and contributed to a few Free Companies, though she never forgot her reason from traveling to Eorzea. As her adventures brought her to Mor Dhona she happened upon an old family friend she remembered from Doma who sadly shared the news of her fathers' death and how her sister had not been seen since they arrived in Eorzea. With this news she set out thus far unsuccessfully searching for her sister, she had some promising leads but nothing that has resulted in much progress.
As time passed and fortunes improved she had an opportunity with some friends to open a small café and book shop in Goblet district of Ul’dah.
